Senandika x Rangkul 3 Report Text
At August 10, 2022, SMAN 3 Bandung celebrated it's "birthday". All students, teachers, staffs, and other are participating in celebration event called Senandika x Rangkul 3. Almost all schedule or study plan cancelled except for classes that must do daily test that day. But, for me and all my friend in grade X (10), we used to sell our product from Senandika Project in our stand.
My class, X5 sold our handmade banana chips branded "Candrakala", that means dusk. In order to participating in the event, my class divided into some division: production, design, marketing, and advertising. After learned the specification of each divisions jobdesk, I joined production division, because I thought I can help cooking and packaging. I sometimes help making food for my family at home. Although I can't handle the stove, I can use the knife, grater, etc.
There were 11 members in production division. The quantity target of our product were 150 pcs (the total of small and large packages). The production process started few days before the event, almost every after school in my friend's house (Muthia's house). At the first trial, I didn't join the teamwork because I had to go to my junior hight school to do three-fingers-stamp on my diploma. But, I still contributed by supplied the package. That day, they did a trial with some bananas. The result were given to the classmates in the next day. From their feedback, we knew that the bananas grated too thick and too much oxidized, so the chips didn't crispy. But, the flavor given to the chips were already good.
The next day, I joined the production process. We went to Muthia's house by car together. Upon arrival, we took rest for a while and then start working. First, we peeled the bananas, grated them to slices, then soaked them in lime water for an hour. After that, we fried them until the color changed to yellow or golden. Then, we drained them and gave powder-flavor to them. We gave chocolate flavor and matcha flavor to the chips. Afer the flavor-powder distributed well to the chips, we package them.
The trial production process keep going until we found the appropriatte recipe for mass production, that scheduled two days before the event. At the end, we just made 96 packages of chips, but we still gain some profits by improved the selling price, and our product were sold out.
At the end of the event, there were the announcement of the winner of best booth (1-3) and the most favorite booth. Our class, X5 didn't win, but we got some fun and valuable experience about entrepeneurship. I hope, benefitful event like this could held more often.
